LINE-UP
The band takes shape through five characters, each with a distinct role and personality, and an identity developed over time through their individual traits, passions, and small personal details.
Their differences are an integral part of the band and help create a genuine group dynamic that goes beyond their individual musical roles. Relationships, affinities, and contrasts emerge through Neural Odyssey’s visual content and communication, giving each of the five members immediately recognizable characteristics while, at the same time, contributing to a shared imagery.
ASTRA – voice
Astra is the frontwoman of Neural Odyssey: sensual, highly intelligent and cultured, with a distinctive sense of humour that is often subtle and unpredictable. She has a magnetic presence, effortlessly combining elegance with a commanding stage presence, making her one of the defining figures of the band’s visual identity.
Her favourite bands include System of a Down, Epica, Korn, Corvus Corax, Nanowar of Steel and Within Temptation.
ZENITHRA – lead and melodic guitar
Zenithra is the most unpredictable member of the group: moody, creative and a little crazy, she is the band’s main source of ideas and takes on a leading role, particularly when it comes to social media and communication. Her imagination tends to turn even the most ordinary situations into something… epic.
She plays a Gibson Les Paul Custom ’57 Black Beauty.
Her favourite bands include Epica, Metallica, System of a Down, Lacuna Coil and Guns N’ Roses.
KANE – rhythm guitar and keyboards
Kane is the most reserved member of the group: a nerd to the core, quiet and hopelessly messy, he almost always maintains a serious expression and rarely shows much emotion. He prefers keeping to himself and speaking only when necessary, often becoming the natural counterbalance to the band’s more chaotic personalities.
He plays an ESP LTD MH-1000 in Black Satin.
Musically, his favourites include Metallica, Epica, Therion, Rhapsody of Fire, Eluveitie, and Nightwish from the Tarja Turunen era.
ZOE – bass
Zoe is Zenithra’s best friend and represents the more balanced side of the duo. She has a thoughtful and reserved personality and a deep interest in Eastern culture, particularly Japan. She also has a solitary streak that often leads her to seek moments of quiet and introspection, alternating them with moments of camaraderie with the other members of the band.
She plays a Yamaha TRBX305 White.
Her musical tastes range from Marilyn Manson and Radiohead to Loreena McKennitt, Faun, Omnia, and Lindsey Stirling.
OSCAR – drums
Oscar is the least predictable member of the band. A womanizer and extremely lazy, he has an almost supernatural ability to disappear whenever there’s work to be done and reappear right on cue when a party starts. If he can sleep, he sleeps.
He has a deep love for the mountains and has always had German Shepherds as companions—strictly working-line dogs. Sunglasses are practically an integral part of his look, and he is rarely seen without them.
He plays a Tama Starclassic Walnut/Birch.
His favourite bands include Litfiba, Folkstone, Lacuna Coil, and Evanescence.
